Recently, the 2nd Amendment seems to be at the forefront of people’s minds and I receive regular questions on my stance concerning gun control.

How do I feel about the 2nd Amendment? I fully support it.

I believe law abiding citizens have the right to defend themselves and to me, one of the best ways to do that is the right to bear arms. Defending the Constitution is something that I firmly believe in and to me, it is the 2nd Amendment that is the key to guaranteeing all the other rights of the citizens.

Rugged individualism, independence and self sufficiency are a part of our American culture and I like that about us. Being able to defend yourself is a key ingredient. It is also something that sets us apart from other countries. Taking away the ability of Americans to defend themselves is un-American.

Like the rest of the Constitution, it is there for a purpose and I seek to defend it.
